Warranty Cover

Support That Stays Clear After The Install

Tints2go supports professional installs across automotive, residential, and commercial work. Warranty support is there for genuine film or manufacturer defects, while aftercare keeps the finished result protected from avoidable damage.

Warranty terms

If window film develops an adhesive failure such as cracking, glazing, delamination, peeling, excessive colour change, or another failure caused by a manufacturer defect, Tints2go will review the install and arrange the right replacement route where the warranty applies.

Tints2go is not liable for loss, damage, expense, or cost caused in whole or in part by improper film care, cleaning, abuse, impact, or glass breakage.

Automotive

Lifetime warranty

Vehicle window film installs are backed with long-term support against adhesive failure, cracking, peeling, delamination, and unusual colour change caused by a film or manufacturer defect.

Residential

10 year warranty

Residential window film is supported for the expected service life of the product, with coverage focused on film performance and installation integrity when aftercare guidance has been followed.

Commercial

10 year warranty

Commercial glazing installs receive the same practical support route for film defects, appearance concerns, and post-installation checks across office, retail, and wider business glass.

Window Film Care

Clean Film Gently And Let It Settle

Good aftercare protects the finish. The most important points are simple: clean gently, use the right cloth, and give newly installed film time to cure before heavy use.

Keep Windows Up For 7 Days

Use microfibre

Use a clean, high-quality microfibre cloth for routine cleaning. It lifts dust and dirt from the film surface without dragging abrasive particles across the finish.

Keep it gentle

Clean with mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals, ammonia-based products, abrasive pads, blades, scrapers, and anything that can attack the film or adhesive.

Windows up for 7 days

For freshly tinted vehicle windows, keep the windows up for at least 7 days. The film is still curing underneath, and early movement can lift edges before the adhesive has bonded.

Tinting Aftercare

The Drying Out Process

Fresh film can show bubbles, haze, dot-matrix variation, or small imperfections during the drying process. Colder or wetter weather can extend drying times, so patience protects the finished result.

Water bubbles visible while automotive window film is drying.

Water bubbles

Window film is installed with a water-based slip solution so it can be positioned cleanly. Small water pockets or a hazy look can appear while that moisture evaporates.

Result

Water bubbles normally dry out over several weeks.

Minor imperfections visible on tinted automotive glass during close inspection.

Minor imperfections

A window tint is fitted to existing glass in a real-world environment. Small dust specs or marks may be visible up close, while the finished result should read cleanly from normal viewing distance.

Result

Tiny specs can be expected in aftermarket film installs.

Dot-matrix

Some vehicle glass has a raised ceramic dot pattern around the edge. Film cannot always sit perfectly between each raised dot at first, so these areas may look lighter or uneven while curing.

Result

Dot-matrix areas usually settle more evenly as they dry.

Light scratches visible on vehicle glass after tint installation.

Scratches

Most vehicles pick up light glass marks from seals, dirt, weather, or previous cleaning. Tint can reduce light transmission and make marks already in the glass easier to spot.

Result

Existing glass scratches may become more noticeable after tinting.

Tinting Expectations

Know What You Are Looking At

New tint naturally makes people inspect every inch of the glass. Some marks may be on the outside, some may already be in the glass, and some curing effects simply need time to settle.

Tints2go window film is fitted to the inside face of the glass, so marks, chips, or scratches on the outside of the glass are separate from the film surface. If something does not look right after the film has had time to cure, contact Tints2go with the details below so the team can review the job properly.

Inside Install

Window film is installed on the inside of the glass, so existing outside marks can sometimes be noticed for the first time after tinting.

Quick Answers

Warranty Questions

Quick answers for the common support questions customers ask after a vehicle, home, or commercial window tinting install.

What does the warranty cover?

Warranty support is focused on film or manufacturer defects such as adhesive failure, cracking, glazing, delamination, peeling, or unusual colour change when the film has been cared for correctly.

What is not covered?

Damage caused by improper cleaning, harsh chemicals, abuse, impact, glass breakage, existing glass defects, or ignoring aftercare guidance is outside normal warranty support.

When should I contact Tints2go?

Contact the team if a concern remains after the curing period, if film edges lift, or if you are unsure whether something is normal drying behaviour. Photos and job details help us review it faster.
