Shade with the law in mind.

For vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must transmit at least 75% of light and front side windows at least 70%. For older vehicles, both must transmit at least 70%. These limits apply to the glass and film together. Rear side windows and the rear windscreen have no equivalent tint limit.

Your questions answered

Know before you book.

Can I tint my front windows?

UK rules apply to the combined glass and film. For vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985, the windscreen must let through at least 75% of light and the front side windows at least 70%. Existing factory glass already reduces light, so adding a film can make it illegal.

Which shade should I choose?

Our automotive viewer helps you compare the appearance of different rear-window shades. It is an illustration: the result depends on your existing glass, interior and lighting. We confirm the right film before fitting.

Do you remove old film?

Tell us if the vehicle already has film fitted. Removal can change the time and cost, so we include it in the quote where required.
